Welcome to Alabama Vacation Home Rentals! We are not a faceless national corporation or a subsidiary of a conglomerate giant. We are local, independently owned and operated, and located right here in Alabama. My name is Susan Forson, co-founder of ALAVHR, I would like to personally welcome you to our website. My husband, Roy, and I bought our first vacation rental in Gulf Shores four years ago. Like many of you, we had a dream. We wanted to provide financial security and independence for our family while building relationships with the families that stayed with us. After having great success with three condos and hosting over 500 families, we began to worry about our dreams. We don't need to tell you how much the industry has changed. The large websites are getting more and more greedy, withholding contact information and even payments from rental owners, while forcing our guests to pay booking or service fees that we cannot control. Our rentals are very personal to us and we take pride in offering our guests an exceptional experience. All of that is being threatened by the changes in the industry.
